Welding and Fabrication Services

M.J. Nester provides exceptional quality in all our welding and fabrication services. Our team specializes in various types of welding including MIG and TIG.

  • MIG Welding, also known as Metal Inert Gas Welding or GMAW is a process using electric arc to join metal pieces together. MIG welding functions to join steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. MIG welding can be used for various applications including sheet metal welding, pipeline welding, steel structures, and heavy construction.
  • TIG Welding, also known as Tungsten Inert Gas or GTAW is a process using non-consumable tungsten electrode to deliver the current to the wire which melts the metal. TIG welding functions to join copper, aluminum, and stainless steel. TIG welding can be used for welding together thinner materials and offers greater control and precision.
  • Fabrication uses raw materials to make something from start to finish. M.J. Nester specializes in metal fabrication which involves various processes including stamping, welding, cutting, bending, and assembling processes. Metal fabrication can either be manual or machine processes such as CAD or CNC machining.

Recent Projects

M.J. Nester is out of state this week completing phase 1 of a mezzanine installation for one of our customers. This mezzanine will house ovens used in industrial bakeries. M.J. Nester utilized MIG and TIG welding processes to fabricate this mezzanine. This project consisted of multiple steps including 3D scanning to design, fabrication of parts in our own shop, transportation to the plant, and installation from our field crew. The top corner shows an M.J. Nester employee welding the baseplates for the mezzanine. The bottom photos show the field crew using rigging techniques and cranes to properly install the mezzanine.
